Milestone = Jessica + 1st Voice Recital

MY BAD!

This post should have been up shortly after Jessica's first ever voice Recital with Musikademy last June 2, 2013 at the Abreeza Ayala Mall in Davao. However, I am a believer of the statement: better late than never, so I am pushing this shameless plug about my daughter's gift of singing.

Proud would be an understatement of my feeling towards her achievement. When she was on stage doing what she loves transformed her as she conquer her fears and overcome doubts about her capabilities. I am so much indebted to God and the significant persons who had been instrumental to her development not just in singing but also in becoming a better person.

Please enjoy the pictures and the video as much as I did because this has been a proud momma moment for me.

I am grateful to Teacher Jill (who was my former student) for guiding, motivating and choosing the right song for Jessica. Tia Nicole and Tia April also showed their relentless patronage and belief in the talent of their niece through their collaboration in the choreography. Above all, I appreciate the presence and moral support of our Ronquillo family in all our endeavors.

Rock was the recital's peg but the chicness and sweetness of a ten-year old were not downplayed in Jessica's style because her mom said so (LOL). The MET Gala 2013 was so timely thus our style inspiration.

Please forgive the low video resolution and limited zooming capacity of my tablet, again, my bad. But Jeka's voice is worth all your time to listen.

Milestones: Lena on Drums

05.22.13

I cannot get enough of my pretty monkey. In my previous post entitled, Milestone: Dress to DeStress (click the link to read), I  expressed how happy I am in her progress with her reading and drum lessons. Today, I was in awe with her new tricks (do I call it that?) in playing drums. She is just five years old and she  has not made it big yet but I am her #1 fan.

My daughters are one of God's greatest manifestation of overflowing love. My Creator has taught me to love and care beyond myself.  He has given me my daughters to nurture as His reflection. Responding to that call can be very challenging but with God's grace He will show us the way.

I am forever thankful to God and to those who have been instrumental for my daughters to discover and develop their talents.
